SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT

At ULG, each venue is unique, but all share a strong focus on sustainability and quality, as well as our core values of kindness, simplicity, and loving what you do. We are proud to work with the best breweries, distillers, farmers and fishermen to provide the finest quality, locally sourced food and drink.

This document sets out our dedication to a more sustainable future, which we hope to contribute to by creating a more resilient and environmentally- and socially conscious supply chain.

Environment

We strive to:

  • prioritise sourcing local, seasonal, and regeneratively produced ingredients to support both regional ecosystems and local economics, and reduce our carbon footprint.

  • work with our suppliers to minimise wastage from packaging, focusing on reusability and recyclability.

  • source recycled and upcycled materials and equipment, extending their lifetimes and reducing demand for virgin resources.

Ethical Practices

We will work with suppliers to:

  • source Fair Trade certified goods where possible, to ensure that producers in developing countries receive fair payment for their goods and work in safe and healthy conditions.

  • uphold fair labour practices, provide safe working conditions, and pay fair wages.

  • uphold high animal welfare standards.

Collaboration and adaptive management

We believe that we and our suppliers are partners in our regenerative journey. To this end we will endeavour to:

  • engage with our suppliers in the delivery of our sustainability ambitions.

  • share best practices, seek innovative solutions, and collectively reduce environmental impacts across the supply chain.

  • screen new suppliers to ensure that they adhere to our sustainability standards.

This Sustainable Procurement policy will be reviewed annually. Non-compliance with this Sustainable Procurement Policy may result in the re-evaluation of our supplier relationship.
